2010 IA State Fair

Jada and I went to the State Fair today and had a blast. It is typically really hot and humid but today it was just sunny and nice, a good change for what we have been experiencing over the past several weeks.

Jada and I rode a roller coaster (pic above with the green eyes in the back). She said she wouldn't scream but did the whole ride. After that we went an saw the big horses, sheep and little horses doing jumps. It was great...allergy center.

We rode down a slide on potato sack which was great. Then headed off to get her face painted at the top of the hill. We saw pigs and piglets, some ostriches, chickens, turkeys and ducks.

We rounded out the fair with a trip into the sky. You can see Jada trying to do her flips, maybe next year.

Grandma Ingram's Visit

This week Grandma came to visit and took Jada for some special outings. Jada went to see Toy Story 3 and went bowling for the first time. The scores were great with 52, 65, and 78....better as she learned how to play.

London Trip - July 26th

Off to London for Business...here are some sites I saw on my 4 hour adventure on Sunday, July 25th. Many people think that the London Bridge is the bridge with the Towers, however the towers are actually called the Tower Bridge and the London Bridge is the one closest in this picture. I took the Big Bus Tour around the city and saw all the sites that are must see, however note that on Sundays the tours stop at 6pm. My hotel was right down the road from St Paul's and right next to the Bank of England. Lots of fun, just wish I didn't have to travel by myself.
